Then the 70s and sexual liberation arrived. Inhibitions diminished and so did the tolerance for grandma panties (which is what bloomers were now called) .
THONGS
While many credit Rudi Gernreich with introducing the first fresh thong succor in 1974 - in this country - it was actually the Egyptians, conceptually, who were one of the earliest people to wear them.
